BIO

Jonathan Linden is a New York-based guitarist and singer-songwriter whose work brings together the lyrical traditions of 1960s and 1970s country-folk, the innovations of alternative and progressive rock, the melodic sensibilities of indie-pop, and the color of jazz harmony.

After spending the last decade working as a touring guitarist and guitarist for hire, Jonathan is now sharing a body of carefully incubated original songs.

Field Notes from the Album

All My Songs Are Accidents is a companion booklet created for the Bandcamp edition of the album.

Part field journal and part creative record, the booklet extends the ideas behind Accidents beyond the music. It reflects on the mistakes, fragments, doubts, unexpected discoveries, and changes in direction that shaped the songs.

Together, the album and booklet consider a simple idea: creative work rarely arrives exactly as planned. Sometimes the mistake is the beginning. Sometimes the abandoned idea returns in another form. Sometimes the accident becomes the song.
